Safeguarding

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is of paramount importance and is everyone’s responsibility.

 It is the responsibility of every member of staff, volunteer and regular visitor to our school to ensure that they carry out the requirements of our 'Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy' and, at all times, work in a way that will safeguard and promote the welfare of all of the pupils at our school. This includes the responsibility to provide a safe environment in which children can learn.

Operation Encompass
Operation Encompass is a police and education early information sharing partnership enabling schools to offer immediate support for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse.
 
Operation Encompass believes that children are victims of domestic abuse in their own right and should be acknowledged as such. Where appropriate, Northumbria police leaise with the school's designated safeguarding leads to update us regarding any incidents outside of school which may have an impact on the wellbeing of children.
